Another Message on the Beach ... THIS Year
/God is Love.
1 John 4:8
Love is the essence of God’s nature.
Not just something about Him.
Love = Who He is.
And if I need a reminder that God is Love, and He loves me, all I need do is remember His messages on the beach … last year
and now again THIS year …
I was again at the Jersey shore last week, walking on the sand close to the water, walking in a different direction from last year, and there it was.
This time a heart, just a simple image, but with the same message … I love you. Yes, you. Little ole you.
The God of the Universe loves ME! Astounding.
I receive and embrace You, O Lover of my life.
And He loves you too, dear friend.
Receive and embrace Him — the Lover of YOUR life.
See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are! But the people who belong to this world don’t recognize that we are God’s children because they don’t know him.
Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. 1 John 3:1-2 NLT

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.
Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.
No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love is brought to full expression in us. 1 John 4:9-12 NLT
The Love of Christ
Wes King
Incomparable kindness to less than the least
To the broken, the battered, and weak
To all who are hungry there comes a call
To be filled with the fullness of God
It's beyond all you can see
Farther than you'd believe
It's a mystery
My prayer for you is that you would know
How wide, and how long, and how high, how deep is the love
How deep is the love of Christ
The width of two arms outstretched on a tree
The length of the road to Calvary
The height of the crown on a cruel cross
The depth of the pain is the cost
All for you, all for me
All for love did He bleed
All to set us free
My prayer for you is that you would know
How wide, and how long, and how high, how deep is the love
How deep is the love of Christ
The width of two arms outstretched on a tree
The length of the road to Calvary
The height of the crown on a cruel cross
The depth of the pain is the cost
All for you, all for me
All for love did He bleed
All to set us free
My prayer for you is that you would know
