Walking with Jesus through Trials...

I'm beginning a Bible study with a new group this week. It's a study the Lord gave me back at the end of 1998...the end of a terrible/glorious year in the life of our family.
It was terrible because the life of our young adult son was greatly at risk with the "C" word and our teen daughter's life was threatened by that same horrible word.
But it was also a glorious year because of the almost tangible, manifest Presence of our glorious Lord and His merciful, glorious work on behalf of this mama and her babies. The impact of the Lord's Presence in those darkest of times and the lessons learned in the depth of the pain continue to mold who I am.
Now I am no expert in walking through trials, but I know the One who is...and you do too if you know Him by faith. He lives IN you and THROUGH you, as you, and you can trust Him. The cool thing is HE is the Expert -- the One who has walked out every trial, testing and temptation perfectly in union with His Father. So that gives us great hope. Why? Because...
..He can whisper into your soul, as He did mine, the life-giving words that can keep you walking upright even in your most desperate of times.
So in the coming posts, I'd like to share some of our story and what the Lord did and taught this mama, at a particular time, in a particular place, with a particular son and a particular daughter, both most precious indeed!
All in the hopes that you too will be encouraged to walk with the One who walks with you through everything this world can throw at you because...
